Never Too Early To Start

The only real way someone can maintain arthritis prevention is by not injuring any joints in the body at all. This is not likely to happen because at some point in our lives, we will put too much stress on one of our joints. Actually, this happens many times over in one’s life, whether it be from sports, exercise, weight gain or just everyday living. Our joints support our bodies and we are always using them, therefore, it is inevitable that we will suffer from arthritis later, if not sooner in our lives. But a consistent exercise program will help in arthritis prevention.

The Prevention

Exercise needs to start early in our lives so that we can become accustomed to working out every day to help us maintain a healthy lifestyle. Starting exercise education early will keep us in a rigorous schedule as we age and this exercise program will become a good prevention for arthritis. Swimming is especially good for preventing arthritis. The buoyancy in the water relieves the pressure on the joints, so exercising is very easy in the water because there is no pain and if you sweat you will not notice because you are already wet. The key to prevention of arthritis is healthy joints. You need to maintain your joints to keep them healthy. Your joints support the body, so it is very important to maintain these joints, so they can keep the body in tip top shape. A good used car has had very good maintenance in its life and that is why it is still running. The process is the same for the human body. There are specific joint rotation exercises which are very good for our joint maintenance. Including these joint rotation exercises in your exercise program is very beneficial to arthritis prevention.

Weight control is another way to prevent arthritis. Our joints were made to hold only a certain amount of weight and any extra will add a lot of strain to the joint area. As we age, we slowly lose glucosamine and our joints become much weaker. So, instead of gaining weight at the end of our lives, it would be a good idea to lose weight. Our joints cannot stand as much stress on them as they did when we were younger.

So to prevent the pain of arthritis in these joints, it would be a good idea to educate yourself on these areas of prevention for arthritis. The quality of life in your later years will be much more enjoyable if you consciously try to prevent arthritis from happening in your life.
